How we would fit it into your day

Plan from downtown Rockland and keep each day focused on one destination. Thomaston, South Thomaston, Cushing and St. George are separate towns; Port Clyde and Tenants Harbor are villages in St. George. Check museum closures and actual boat departures. The breakwater has uneven granite and no railings; lighthouse grounds access does not include a tower tour. No Monhegan ferry trip is automatically included.

Before you go

178 Marshall Point Road. Grounds open dawn to dusk year-round. Museum and shop operate Memorial Day–Columbus Day; tower entry is not promised. Check weather and stay on designated paths.
